Over the 60 years that I have been performing all over the world, some are very important, some very prestigious, but none comes close to the reason for doing it. This touches the lives of everyone.

“Firsthand experiences dispel misconceptions. People from around the world need to meet on a regular basis and share the best each culture has to offer firsthand.”

We would like to use the arts to bring the world together. Much like how the Olympics brings together sports and nations.

The ArtsGames Movement
The ArtsGames movement has gathered steam through individuals who recognize that every person has a role to play in a harmonious future.
We often feel powerless to effect postive change. Our personal burdens overpower and exhaust our will to get involved in additional commitments.
The ArtsGames movement is organic. It embraces a range of interests, actions, systems of support and, above all, engagements. The movement was not designed but has grown through those who have attended and participated in IAC events over the years.
The constant question they have asked after an encounter is, what can we do to help? What we can all do is to start with the little things that make a difference in our lives. We start by drawing on our curiosity, by asking questions of each other respectfully.
We do not assume to know, but rather allow the space for each and everyone of us to share who we are without the labels that are forced on us through media, educators, governments and even friends and family.
That is the definition of respectful exchange. It opens the door to honest dialogue and removes the barriers that divide us through agendas that are usually not our own.
This is where we are building the ArtsGames movement online. This page is where we start to exchange ideas based on the principles of respect, curiosity, honesty and understanding.
We may begin by questioning our own strongly held opinions. Where did they originate? Was it through firsthand experience? Rarely are our opinions based on firsthand experience.
Today more than ever, with the manipulation of media, those firsthand experiences are so very important.
So, this is where we begin. This page is an innovative seed that we invite you to nourish with comments, suggestions and ideas.
Starting in 2025, it will be used as a home for cross-cultural exchange. Please revisit us from time to time as this space is developed up for you!
